Home Advantage is not a proving ground for inexperienced
trainers to get their feet wet within the fitness industry.
We are redefining what it means to have a personal trainer
by using science as the groundwork for everything we do. By
employing our knowledge of human movement science, and the
National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Optimum Performance
Training (OPT) Model which uses evidence-based training, we
are able to not only help you achieve any fitness goal, but
also ensure your training program is as safe as possible.
The
Optimum Performance Model
was created using cutting edge research
to progressively move people through a more organized
training program geared to improve the way we move and
biomechanically function in our everyday lives.
The model is widely used and respected by physicians,
olympians, and professional athletes alike. The OPT consists
of three phases, the first of which is the most important
and a great starting place to begin your fitness training.
Here we focus on Increasing your stability, improving
flexibility and muscular endurance, core strength and
coordination. This is all achieved while you are up using
your own body weight and minimal equipment which burns the
maximum amount of calories. This is known as the
Stabilization phase. The next two phases are Strength and
Power which is great for advanced workouts or for those
looking for very specific performance training.
Each one of your training sessions are purposeful and backed
by evidence-based training.
